💸 Coverlock machines are great, but you can definitely do without!
Here’s how to achieve perfect stretch fabric hems without one:
🔸Serge or finish your seam with a zigzag stitch
🔸Add a basting stitch to mark the fold at seam allowance (optional but highly recommended)
🔸Use a #twinneedle (ideally with a ballpoint)
🔸Fold hem over and do a twin stitch.
My tip: use a slightly longer stitch length (I am using 3.5-4) and a higher tension (4.5-5) to get that tunnelled look (if you like it)
