How to use the Stretch Percentage Gauge
Download: Once you’ve checked out from the store you’ll be able to download the digital file.
Print: Print the gauge onto A4 or US Letter (landscape mode), unlike with patterns, scaling isn’t important here.
Measure
- Fold your fabric in half and align the folded edge with the grey area of gauge
- Use pins to mark the edges of the grey area on your fabric
- Gently pull the right pin to stretch the fabric, while pressing down on the left pin
- Stop stretching when the fabric resists or warps beyond a reasonable state
- Check which area your right pin has reached: that’s your stretch percentage!
