The Oaxaca Wrap Top is a summery crop top that provides a flattering fit and a comfortable feel thanks to its adjustable ties. It can be worn on its own or layered on top of another garment such as a dress or tank top.
- View 1: Oaxaca can be worn as a wrap-around top with a knot
- View 2: By increasing the length of the Wrap Ties, you can wrap them around your body one more time to allow for a front knot.
- View 3: The Oaxaca Blouse can also be worn as a front knot blouse, without overlapping the front bodice. This will create a deep décolleté.

Difficulty Level
This pattern is ideal if you are a confident beginner who wants to level up! Thanks to the in-depth explanations in the instructions booklet, you will learn to master the following techniques:
- sew darts
- sew an inside-out seam with the “burrito-technique”
- attach bias tape with the “stitch in the ditch” method (this step is optional and can be substituted for an easier method, both explained in detail)
Materials Required
Suitable Fabrics
This sewing pattern was conceived for non-stretch woven fabric. Best suited fabric options include: lightweight cotton (voile, poplin), viscose, polyester such as Georgette (which is my absolute favorite!) or even silk. These fabrics will drape beautifully and enhance the blouse’s elegant design.
- Fabric Requirement: 1.20-1.60m of main fabric (1.3-1.8yd) according to your size — check out the pictures for full yardage!
- Notions: 130-145cm (52-57") of bias tape according to your size, or you can use self bias-binding which must be cut on the bias (not account for in the yardage).
- Sewing tools: Scissors, needles, thread, pins, trick marker or chalk. Overlocker is completely optional.

What sewists say about this...
These took me forever to make because I was scared of the buritto but came out great. Great fit too!
I wasn't sure about size and reached out to Anais via Instagram and she responded within 2 hours. Making this wrap felt like going through a mini sewing lesson!
I had a blast making this top! The burrito method and bias binding were super easy to follow with the videos, and I felt pretty confident trying them out. The blouse turned out so cute and fits great. It took a little longer than I expected, but I'm really happy with how it turned out. Definitely recommend, even if you’re just starting out!
The Oaxaca Wrap Blouse pattern was a joy to sew. The instructions were super clear, and the result is super versatile 😄
The sizing ended up a bit too large for me and the fabric was gaping at the bust. It's not a problem if you tie it in the front tho. Will definitely size down next time. Otherwise really good pattern
