  • Fits snugly at the waist and flares out into a dramatic wide-leg
  • Adjustable fit thanks to an elasticated back
  • Twisted side seam
  • Sultry side-slit either at thigh or calf-length

Included Views

You will be able to sew 3 variations of this palazzo pants sewing pattern:

  • View A (the original Casablanca Wide-Leg Pants) was designed with a flounce, which gives additional length and fluidity.
  • View B makes for a much quicker and fabric-saving sew, as it can be assembled without the flounce.
  • View C is the short version: it has the fullness of a skirt, but the comfort and coverage of shorts.

The Casablanca Palazzo Pants can be styled in several ways: you can pair them with a tank or a crop-top to highlight the volume of the wide leg silhouette, or wear them with a lightweight tucked-in blouse for a polished look. Of course, they are also perfect for a beachy vibe, paired with a bralette or bikini top.

This palazzo pants sewing pattern was conceived for non-stretch woven fabric only.

I liked the pattern design overall, which is why i purchased, but it doesn't have pockets. That could be easily changed, but i feel it should be an included option. Also, I used satin, which i absolutely would NOT recommend. It has too much body, not enough flow. Also, i think for how baggy the pants are, the crotch is kind of shallow. If i tried them again i would need to have a deeper crotch curve, and for sure pockets.

I struggled a bit with the waistband but the final pants are worth it.

Super flowy, perfect for summer. Fabric choice makes all the difference, first one with gauze didn't turn out great but 2nd with viscosse was spot on 👌🏽

The waistband was a bit fiddly, but instructions and youtube links helped me through it. Overall, a great sew! Just wish it wouldn't require so much fabric 🙈
